Favorite Fishing Style: Deep water ledges and structure. Many people think ledges are deep water structure and you should be using big worms, jigs and deep diving crankbaits. If you are one of those people then you are missing out on some great top water bassin. If I have good cloud cover and even better some rain I will tie on a SWL Buzzrbait and hang on. Just because the water is deep does not mean the fish wont come up shallow. I will throw the buzz bait on top of the ledge and burn it back to deeper water. Many times the bass will be on top of the ledge feeding during low light levels. You may not catch a lot of bass doing this pattern, but generally you will catch a good fish or two and maybe even a toad. It is also the time to use the SWL Buzzrbait along a bluff wall. Get as close to the wall as you can and buzz it parallel, and again I usually burn it back to the boat.
